Information only — not advice

The calculators, rate charts and guides on the Site are general educational information. They are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, your finance office, DFAS, the Department of Veterans Affairs or an accredited representative. Decisions about your career, benefits, retirement system, investments or claims should not be based only on the Site.

Not a government website

MilPayLab is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Defense, any branch of the armed forces, DFAS, DTMO, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Thrift Savings Plan or any other government agency. Official rates, eligibility rules and payment decisions come only from those agencies.

Accuracy

We work to keep figures accurate and current, and we base them on published government tables. However, rates and rules change, official sources can contain errors, and every calculator uses simplifying assumptions that are described on its page. Results are estimates. Your actual pay and benefits are determined by the responsible agency and shown on documents such as your Leave and Earnings Statement or VA decision letter.

No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MilPayLab and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content.

Acceptable use

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't attempt to disrupt the Site, scrape it in a way that burdens it, or republish substantial portions of its original text without permission. Government rate data itself is public information.

Third-party links and ads

The Site links to other websites and may display third-party advertising. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, products or services, and an ad is not an endorsement.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision, and continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
